In the game football mates, the main game mechanic which is spinning cards to get various rewards involves seven different suits of cards. These suits consist of:
Cone
Cones give you a fixed amount of xp depending on your main level. Unless your spin is a three of a kind, at least one cone card or multi-cone card always appears in your spins. Getting a three of a kind of the cone card gives you a bigger amount of xp.
Multi-cone
Multi-cones give you a fixed amount of xp depending on your main level that is higher than the regular cone card. Unless your spin is a three of a kind, at least one cone card or multi-cone card always appears in your spins. Getting a three of a kind of the cone card gives you a bigger amount of xp.
Progression
Getting less than three of progression card in your spin does not grant you any rewards. However, if you were to get a three of a kind of progression cards, you will gain an amount of progression depending on your both seasonal and main level on the line you have spun the cards.
Energy
Getting less than three of energy cards does not grant you any rewards. However, if you were to get a three of a kind of energy cards you will be awarded with energy depending on your multiplier. The amount of energy you gain is always ten times of your multiplier.
Defence
Getting less than three of defence cards does not grant you any rewards. However, if you were to get a three of a kind of defence cards you will be awarded with defence depending on your multiplier. The amount of defence you gain is always equals to your multiplier.
Ball
Getting less than three of ball cards does not grant you any rewards. However, if you were to get a three of a kind of ball cards you will be granted to take a shot for a chance of goal (this type is not counted at the end of the match). The chances of you scoring a goal depends on two things; opponent’s defence and the space you have chosen to take your shot.
Opponent’s defence:
Opponent’s defence is straight forward, more defence the opponent has less chance you have to score.
Your selection:
When you enter the shot screen, you will be met with three choices and you get to choose on out of the three. Just like you the goalie also chooses one of the selections to defend. If you were to choose the one that goalie has chosen, you opponent’s defence gains temporary 10 points. This can cause you shot to be blocked even if your opponent’s defence is at 0. Same situation applies to your favour as well, if you were to choose a different selection than the goalie opponent’s defence loses 10 points meaning you can score a goal even if opponent’s defence is at 100.
When your shot’s blocked opponent’s defence fells by the multiplier you have used for the shot and you earn only xp depending to your level. When you score a goal on the other hand, opponent’s defence does not falls but you earn progression alongside the xp.
Gift
Gifts allows you to send different gifts to your teammates. In order to send a gift you have to get a three of a kind of gifts. These gifts vary including:
Energy: gives energy once used
Progression: gives progression to their line once used
Exp: gives energy once used
The amount of gift your teammates will receive is directly affected by the multiplier you are using, higher it is bigger the prize.
